COUPLES THERAPY

Connection & Healing

Relationships can be a source of tremendous connection and support. They can also be where we feel most hurt, misunderstood, or alone. I help couples understand what keeps them stuck, repair disconnection and hurt, and build a relationship that feels safer, closer, and more responsive.

Couples often come to therapy caught in patterns that have become difficult to change on their own. One partner may pursue while the other withdraws. Conversations may quickly become defensive or escalate, or partners may stop talking about important things altogether. Often, underneath these patterns are more vulnerable feelings—hurt, fear, loneliness, shame, or a longing to know that you matter to your partner.

In our work together, we slow these interactions down and begin to understand the cycle rather than blaming either partner for it. As couples become better able to recognize what is happening and communicate the feelings and needs underneath their reactions, there is more room for connection, repair, and a different way of relating.

I work with couples navigating concerns including ADHD and its impact on relationships, trauma and complex trauma, infidelity and trust repair, emotional and sexual intimacy, recurring conflict and disconnection, and parenting stress.

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach based in attachment science. I also bring my background in trauma treatment to couples work, particularly when past experiences or nervous-system responses are shaping what happens between partners in the present.

My style is warm, engaged, and active. I work to create a space where both partners can feel understood while also helping you identify and change the patterns that are getting in the way of the relationship you want.
